Most internal systems are built by people who think in workflows and treat reporting as the last screen. The system ships. It works. And finance quietly keeps a spreadsheet on the side, because the answers leadership actually asks for are not in there.
We build the other way around. Start with what the business has to know, then design the system that captures it cleanly the first time. The test of a system is not whether it works. It is whether anyone has to work around it.
Who is behind it
Tellwether is led by Cody Wilkinson. He has held CFO and Controller seats, and he runs a fractional CFO practice serving fifteen companies. He closes their books, builds their forecasts, and sits across from their owners every month.
That is not a credential on a page. It is the reason a project here does not start with three weeks of teaching a development team what a chart of accounts is for, why the close matters, or what a lender wants to see. The domain is not something we research at your expense. It is the day job.
